Promises From The King

"For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." - Jeremiah 29:11

"For the scriptures tell us that no one who believes in Christ will ever be disappointed."

Romans 10:11 (Living Bible)

"Blessed is the man who finds wisdom, the man who gains understanding, for she is more profitable than silver and yields better returns than gold. She is more precious than rubies; nothing you desire can compare with her. Long life is in her right hand; in her left hand are riches and honor." Proverbs 3:23 (The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, and knowledge of the Holy One is understanding." - Proverbs 9:10)

"Delight yourself in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart." Psalm 37:4

"God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble." Psalm 46:1

"The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full." John 10:10

"No matter how deep the stain of your sins, I can take it out and make you as clean as freshly fallen snow." Isaiah 1:18

How you claim those promises

Colossian 1:27 (The Living Bible) says, "Christ in your heart if your only hope of glory." John 3:3 tells us that, "unless you are born again, you cannot get into the kingdom of God." "I am the way, the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." (John 14:6)

So, How do we become Born Again?

We need to ask Jesus into our heart into our lives. "He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life." (I John 5:12) He tells us in Revelation 3:20, "Here I am! I stand at the door" (of our hearts) "and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in."

If we confess, God will forgive us

That takes humility to tell God we need him. In Matthew 18:3 He says, "unless you change and become like little children," (humble & trusting), "you will never enter the kingdom of heaven." In other words, you must humble yourself before God and ask forgiveness for your sins. God says, "If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and truth is not in us." (1 John 1:8). But he promises us in 1 John 1:9 that "if we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us and cleanse us from all unrighteousness."

If you are having trouble believing, ask him for the faith to believe.

Tell Someone

If you made a decision to ask Christ in your life, please tell someone, confirming your salvation. The reason you need to tell someone is that in Romans 10:9-10, it says, "That if you confess with your mouth, 'Jesus is Lord,,' and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved."

As a Christian, you are...

"Heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ." (A King's kid) - Romans 8:17

"Justified and no longer under condemnation." - Romans 5:9, 8:1,1 Galations 2:16
